Corissa Furr: Import Tuner Magazine Model

To Corissa Furr...

If you're familiar with my other hub articles on Import Models, you'll remember that Kay Sivilay: Import Tuner Magazine Model was the first model I covered. Friends of mine asked me if there were other models "out there" that I haven't covered which of course put a smile on my face. In all honesty, there are many models, namely Import Models "out there" that I have yet to cover and Corissa Furr is one of them. I've been meaning to write a hub article on her, as she is a great representation of what an Import Model should be: Smart, enthusiastic, a drifting and racing enthusiast, and finally, a tomboy! Yes, you heard correct. There's just something about a girl who takes comfort in the things guys take comfort in, like cars for instance. Tomboys just know the shortcut to a guy's heart! So here's to you, Corssa! I'm sure that you'll continue to break the hearts of millions...

"Thanks Import Velocity for getting me into the import scene. Import Tuner and Carter for featuring me...Finally! My mom, dad, my friends, and all my fans for always supporting me."--Corissa Furr
Favorite Car: NIssan Skyline R33 GT-R (Just like me)
Favorite Movie: Goodfellas (Again, just like me, seriously)
Despite her intimidating looks, Corissa stated in an exclusive interview with Jade Motorsports that she’s “down to earth” and that she’s…Growing up a tomboy, she preferred playing with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles rather than Barbie dolls. In addition, she claims that she was a "band geek" as she played clarinet until sixth grade. She also points out that she’s “all natural” and the only thing about her that isn’t real during some of her modeling shoots are her eyelashes—a fact she of course takes great pride in.
Corissa Furr got her first modeling start while going on shoots with a friend who was a model. After doing so, it didn’t take long for photographers and others to take note of her and pretty soon, she was taking the stage as well while modeling as it came naturally for her. Her first big break came in April of 2007 when Hot Import Nights came to Washington DC (near her hometown in Maryland) which she would of course go on to win.
Today, she’s the official tour model for all the HIN (Hot Import Nights) and Night Shift events which requires her to travel all throughout the continental United States and Hawaii. In addition, Corissa is a NOS Energy Drink Spokes Model along with fellow Import Model Alicia Whitten. Together, the two tour around the country while marketing NOS Energy Drinks to fans and racing and drifting enthusiasts alike during motor sport events such as the Formula D Drift Series which continues to grow in popularity year after year.
Other Import Models who also market their company’s brand and who are the face of their respective companies that I’ve covered include Falken Show Girls and Hankook Girls which you should not miss as they are in the elite class of Import Models. She's graced the cover of of course Import Tuner, Super Street Magazine (twice), DSport (twice), and Performance Auto and Sound. She was also on the cover of Torque Magazine which is based in South Africa--All this in only her first 3 years of modeling! The sky is the limit...

“I still consider winning the title of Miss HIN DC as one of the biggest turning points in my modeling career. Being on tour for that year with Hot Import Nights really opened a lot of doors for me in the industry.--Corissa Furr on winning Miss HIN DC 2007
"I absolutely love it. I mean, sometimes it’s a lot to take in…The constant traveling and being away. But when it’s all said and done, it’s totally worth all of it. I have had so many great opportunities along the way so far. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful people. And the fans and spectators make it all worth it!!"--Corissa Furr on her modeling career
"Don’t forget who you are and where you came from. There’s a lot of pressure in the industry, from all different directions, to do all sorts of different things. Don’t lose sight of what you want for yourself. Don’t let someone else tell you what you should want, or what would be best for you."--Corissa Furr on what she would say to other girls who aspire to become models.
So without further ado, I present to you some of Corissa Furr's best modeling photos. Please enjoy and read my other hub articles on Import Models. Thank you for visiting!
