Fiat set to launch its new model in India

Mumbai: Fiat set to launch its new model in India: Renowned Indian car manufacturing company Fiat India is set to announce the launch of its latest model.


It is in the hope of doubling its sales volume in 2010 by 50,000 units as against 24,000 units in 2009.

Rajeev Kapoor, Fiat India’s Chief Executive Officer and President stated that “The number of customers in the hatchback segment is growing in India and we want to tap the opportunity.

We expect to double our sales from 24,000 units to 50,000 units by December this year.” Today Fiat India launched the 1.2-litre Punto Fire Dynamic (Rs 4.57-lakhs) and Punto Fire Emotion (Rs 4.87-lakhs).

The Punto Fire is equipped with features such as tilt steering, fire prevention system, programmed service reminder and front power windows.
